Free To Enter radio exhibition

Post by Jakeburnside1 » Tue Apr 02, 2019 12:59 am

Hi All

Just a quickie to let you know that the events featured in our book 'Broadcast Brothers: On The Radio' are now being celebrated in a free admission exhibition at the Buxton Museum from now until June 2nd 2019. The exhibition features a recreation of the 'Portakabin studio' designed and built by the late and legendary Gadget for the Radio Buxton RSLS (amongst others) from 1999, along with a recreation of the kind of 'pirate' broadcast studio we worked out of back in the early nineties. Loads of broadcast and music ephemera from 1973 through till 2010 or so. You'd be more than welcome to stick your head around the door at some point.

I'll be presenting talks there on Tuesday 9 April and Tuesday 21st May from 2PM. The rest of the time it is open on museum opening times / days.

Here's the link to the Facebook page which contains some pictures etc from the launch event

Cheers

Steve
