Pete Baker RIP

Post by Steve Marshall »

Quote from Andy Hicks.
11/8/17

For those who have not heard I have some bad news. A friend of quite a few of us on here that some of you may know has passed away.

Many of you will remember him as Pete Baker from radio stations such as The Severn, Signal 1, Signal 2, Exile Radio and Groove FM, also known on air as DJ Osmosis in his early days on Exile.

Pete was taken ill 4 years ago and hasn't been able to lead a normal life since, but struggled on.

A good dj and he'll be missed. I for one hope he's sitting on his foot now playing something mad like one of the Naughty Naughty Volumes.

Rip Jeff / Pete / Osmosis.

Gone too soon, but not forgotten. Yes we had quite few heated arguments over various things, but those Exile shows were religion on a Sunday evening :winking

RIP Jeff.

Knew him from about 1989ish (the days of him working on Magic & running FBMR - named after his BMX if i remember correctly). Great chap and always happy to help with anything he could. Will be sadly missed.

Remember ringing him one Saturday for help finding a social club on the old St Matthews Hospital Site in Burntwood (near where he lived in Burntwood) and interupting him during his Signal show. Oops.

He wasn't bad for a ginger! ;-)
