Youthcomm - 106.7

Post by Dave »

I see Youthcomm Worcester are having the gear installed today to take advantage of OFCOM's enhanced coverage for community stations.

200 watts (instead of 50) - and 20ft higher. Be interesting to see what it does....

Heard it on the A449 past Wombourne tonight, which isn't bad, and it's still only on half power apparently.

That's working, round my way (Bridgnorth) it's gone from zero signal to a steady week signal that in places becomes decent (decent mono, RDS comes in...)

Much the same around the Black Country.

Gone from non-existent to weak/steady.

New link going in today, weather permitting, so I hear.

This has gone to a clear solid signal sitting in the car on the drive here now, whereas this was pretty much none existent before they started their upgrades.
