Radio Seagull

Post by keith rogers » Sat Oct 04, 2014 12:35 pm

Although quite often sounding like a pirate,Seagull is legal ,and broadcasts from the lightship Jenni Baynton anchored at Harlingen Harbour in the Netherlands.
The ship recently went 3 miles offshore to remember the 40th anniversary of the passing of the Dutch Marine Offences Act(which was similar to the bill that stopped London,Scotland,270 tc in the U.K. in 1967).
Seagull can be heard in some parts of the U.K. on 1602khz using 1 KW tx , overnight from 6pm(u.k. time) until 6am and 24/7 on the the net, itunes, tunein etc.
A Dutch station Radio Waddenzee operates on 1602 using the daytime.
Keith Rogers can be heard twice on Monday drive 4-6am/ 4-6 pm(its about time that old codger retired)
