Quote from a mod over there below.

Hi all,

I've received confirmation that we're trialing a speed cap which has been in place since mid-Feb and is applicable to Contract and PAYG customers, but excludes Mobile Broadband.

The current cap is 2Mb/s download, 0.5Mb/s upload. We are doing this to ensure we can offer a good level of service to all customers.

As this is still in trial we are actively monitoring customer feedback to determine its success as we believe this is vital in ensuring we're delivering the best experience for our customers.

Many thanks.

Three sim ordered will be here next week, will get my pac code from virgin after that.

That will be my feedback to them on this matter.

£12.90 for 200mins 5000text & unlimited data and on a 1 month contract to, so not tied down to them either.

Nice :D

GiffGaff have had too many outages for my liking.

They run on the back of O2's network, which I know has good coverage but can also be a bit crappy for data speed etc.

That said, data speed isn't everything, great to have 25mb download speed, but crap if you can only use it in a few places...

Still, PAC code acquired today from Virgin :)
