Used to operate ,82/83 ish on cb with the name captain pugwash(hello me hearties).Cant remember the rig make, but it was a mobile one that I adapted to use with a 13.8 volt power supply for house txmn..Before use I used to clamp the adapted car ariel ,that was secured to a buscuit tin lid covered in tin foill onto a window ledge,(what crap radials)at the house ,plug in the rig (the swr was a bit dodgy !.)I couldnt drive at time-but I knew that it was cheaper to adapt a mobile rig for home use than to buy a more suitable rig, besides I could use the power supply for fm use etc......................
Most of the Sounds Alternative progs were recorded from the same place ,and an 80 watt tx for 1179 was also kept on site ,so it wasnt the worlds best idea at that time to operate cb from the same house ,but what the hell..........................
