...And 4 more.
3 recordings from 1989 and a copy of a cassette produced by the station that they used to sell featuring the best of their output in 1985 and 86.

The UK page has been updated again with some new audio, and also 3 editions of the UK newsletter.
The station used to produce these 4 times a year with information on what they were doing and on free radio in general.
An interesting read...

RIP Roy (Paul Johnson)
Felt I had to post here, I am Doug Neilson Myself and Paul Developed the First UK Radio Transmitter, The First shows where recorded off of a mixing console and a Rigonda Party Time Calypso (Russian Built Single turntable player, with a 5 pin Din output).
Well before UK went live we used to use our home made transmitters to talk to each other he lived at number 1 myself at 11.
I will try and bring you another insight into early UK and our trips to Blackpool to get advertising media
Regards to you all
Neil

Just another heads up to say some more recordings have been added to the UK page this week.
Just in time for the 35th birthday next month.

Tomorrow, 23rd April, will mark 10 years since the sad death of Paul Johnson.
If you're around tomorrow night, why not download an old show, pour yourself a glass of Banks's and join me in a toast.

Thought it might be worth bumping this thread to point out, there have been 40 (yes 40) new recordings added to the UK page today.

Thanks for the uploads, they will keep me busy! I still have a soft spot for UK radio - I lived in Bilston in the mid-late 90s and the postcode of the address they gave out was only a digit away from mine. I have a vague memory of phoning into the bogus jobseeker's show once and winning a CD single of White Town's 'Your Woman', haha!
