Re: Freeline FM / Pulse FM

I definitely picked Freeline up in Stoke, so they must have had more power at one time. I can definitely remember listening to them before they came back as Pulse.

Re: Freeline FM / Pulse FM

Yeah, can remember listening to this when it was on and really enjoying it. Mark Davies was on as well I seem to remember - Trippa, Zippy, Mark Davies. I remember coming home from a gig in 94 and then listening to these most of the night when someone did a late show :)

Re: Miscellaneous Section

Thanks for that - great to see all the old Pirate Chat mags again! Used to really like that and can remember reading some of them at the time.

And one of them even has Liberty in them from Stoke! Brings back some memories :D

Re: station name - anyone help?

I can remember hearing Paralyse once or twice up here in Stoke. I used to love it when I picked a station up like that, a complete one off that I didn't know anything about. I think I did get it under other names as well, but it's not coming to me. I'll post if I remember anything. It's always good ...

Re: Exile Newsheets

I think I've got a copy of the second 'Exile Update' if they are the same thing? I'll dig it out and scan it, and send it to you - along with the Farpoint stuff that I have. Scanning I'm fine with...it's ripping audio that always messes up for me.

Re: The first landbased Pirate you remember ?

My first landbased pirate was PHR sometime in early 1988 and probably around the same time I heard Radio Veronica from Stoke. The guy who did Radio Veronica went onto run Lazer FM and Naff FM in the late 80s/early 90s - anyone remember them? Stoke is West Midlands so I'll have to sort out ripping al...

Re: power fm

95 FM is absolutely dire up Stoke way, so anything on that frequency I've had no hope of listening to. I can remember Frontline on 101 though, can remember listening to them the first week they came on. Absolutely boomed in but then when they moved they just gradually got worse and worse. I can stil...

Re: Ummm Hiya

I can remember hearing it as well, only a couple of times and it was a very bad reception up Stoke way. It was 106 something as Dave says. I haven't got any tapes though (reception was too bad to listen to it again really).

Re: Pirate Streams

I'm nothing whatsoever to do with this, so it's not really spam (although feel free to get rid of it) but I quite like the 'Hardcore lives tuner' http://www.hardcorelives.co.uk/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=72 (download link to the installer) It has most of the London streams (plus Midlands Rush a...

Re: Pirate Oddities

I remember one station, i think broadcast from a caravan (they mentioned it on air), can't remember the name of it now, but it was between 106-107 round about that way. I think we're talking mid-90s here. Was that Kaos? I remember they used to say they were broadcasting from a caravan, and used to ...
